 Position Title: Summer Program Coordinator (Salem, NJ and Wilmington, DE)

Summary of Position
The role of the Summer Program Coordinator is to efficiently implement programs in a manner consistent with the mission, goals and outcomes of the agency. This is a management position that requires extensive planning, organization, and decision-making.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Principles of youth program administration, student data, event planning and leadership (e.g. program planning, staff management, risk management, record keeping, budgeting, marketing & public relations problem‐solving and general administration).
• Computer Fluency (i.e. MS Office, Google Apps, GoDaddy, Constant Contact, Social Media)
• The ability to effectively lead and individually work to accomplish program goals
• Professional oral and written communication skills

MUST HAVE OWN VEHICLE FOR REQUIRED TRAVEL THROUGHOUT THE WORK DAY. 


Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field with 2+ years effective track record in meeting similar goals
• Willingness to grow with a high impact, small yet thriving organization

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, implement and provide direct oversight for year round youth and family programming including in-school, after school and summer.
• Build community relationships with partner agencies and schools to expand service area and sites.
• Develop “out of the box” marketing, recruitment and retention strategies targeting students, families and staff (volunteer/paid). 
• Coordinate marketing and branding strategy to include web updates, social media management and the development of marketing materials.
• Participate in staff orientation, training and professional development as required.
• Assure that adequate supplies, equipment and facilities are safely and properly provided and maintained for use by program participants and staff.
• Collect and maintain accurate and detailed records (staff time, student attendance, receipts)
• Prepare and deliver oral and written reports in a timely and thorough manner as required.
• Maintain open communication with Agency Administrator and Board as necessary.
• Assist with the evaluation and continued development and growth of youth programs.

                          Position Title: Youth Ambassador (Salem, NJ and Wilmington, DE)
                                            
Summary of Position
This is a paid part-time position to guide academic achievement and improved student performance by demonstrating and directly teaching concepts and lessons which reinforce the mastery of key standards identified in individual Student Learning Plans. 

Minimum Qualifications:
• A high school diploma 

• High energy to work with youth 

• A willingness to adhere to program polices and procedures

• A clean criminal history acceptable for working with children by State/Federal law


Desired Qualifications:
• Willingness to grow with a high impact, small yet thriving organization

• Experience working effectively to improve student academic achievement

• Exhibits integrity, patience, and flexibility

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To work directly with maintaining youth programs.

• Assist with the continued development and growth of youth programs.

• Promote young people's interest.

• Involve youth in such initiatives and activities ensuring real participation and developing feelings of ownership. 

• Maintain program records effectively and efficiently.
• Build and maintain relationships with youth, parents, and community.

• Homework Help - lend guidance and assistance with concept reinforcement, remediation, and review.

• One on one tutoring - provide students with individualized guidance and support with test preparation, special projects and effective study habits.
• Participate in staff orientation, training and professional development as required.
• Constantly reinforce the importance of education, as it relates to academic success, personal development, and overall quality of life.

• Work toward the development of the whole child, personally, academically, and socially.

• As each student strives to improve academically, demonstrates growth personally, and reaches their goals no matter how short term, it is imperative that the Youth Ambassador offer support and encouragement every step of the way.
• Maintain open communication with Agency Administrator, Staff, Board, and community stakeholders as necessary.

 Position Title: Village Ambassadors & Interns (5 for NJ & 5 for DE)
